In a time when games (especially by indie developers) are made to be twin stick shooters or have zombies in them, sometimes they are are both and Nation Red is one of those times. I love zombies and I love twin stick shooters, did I love Nation Red?

This week’s review is not going to be a typical review because Physics Lab is not a typical “game.” Physics Lab is basically a sandbox program that allows you to create objects and play around with the physics engine. If this interests you, read on. If you just want to be able to play a game with clear objectives, a beginning and end, etc, then look elsewhere.
Well, it’s Indie Games Wednesday and this Friday is Christmas so I figured I should do a Christmas related game: This week is The Flight Before Christmas. It’s a single player Christmas themed game that puts you in control of Santa delivering his presents.
What was the first game system you owned? If you said Playstation or Nintendo 64, you may want to just move along. Arkedo Series –01 JUMP! (from here on I’ll just refer to it as Jump) is a straight up old school platformer straight from the 80s 8-bit NES/Sega Master System days. While this may turn a lot of people off, to me I thought it was a great experience.

Those of you may have seen my Guitar Hero: Van Halen review and were shocked to see an update. I was busy with school and got a new job, but I’ve been playing a lot of games in the meantime and have a ton of updates coming up soon. From now on I will have a regular schedule and some new ideas I have for the site. I have had Forgotten Friday for a while now and periodically have done an Indie Game spotlight. Well now Fridays will be the forgotten games and movies, Wednesdays will be Indie Game Wednesdays, and Thursday will be Retro Thursdays where I will review some old school games I have been playing. Also keep an eye out for “First Impressions” and similar aspects since I have been playing a lot of epic (re: LONG) games that would take forever to finish and review, so I can at least get an impression out there and I will update the review as need be.
[UPDATED 2-17-2010]If the video gaming world needs anything less than a new tower defense game, it’s a new twin stick shooter. Despite that, here is Cyborg Mice Arena on Xbox 360 as one of the Indie Games. So what does it do to make itself different from the many others out there? Read on to find out.
Find Teddy! is probably not high on anyone of my readers lists of things to play. Be that as it may, I took the time to see what it is an put my thoughts down. Sorry for the lame review, but I am tired and I promise to post a “better” review later on tomorrow (Tuesday).
Dead Meat is one of the latest Xbox Indie Games to be released, having just come out yesterday. It is an overhead twin-stick shooter that has you killing zombies. Sound like I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES 1N 1T? Yeah, it’s pretty much trying to be that, but fails miserably.

It’s been talked about and now it’s finally here: I have added a page for Leaderboards of games that do not have online leaderboards. Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think. Leave comments and contribute your scores and games. It’s not much now so I need YOU to help it grow. It will be a permanent link up at the top of the page like my Upcoming Releases.
