A few weeks back I reviewed Night of the Comet on DVD and mentioned how it was one of the most wanted movies to come out to DVD. The other movie that topped that list was Night of the Creeps and now it not only is out on DVD but Blu-Ray as well complete with the original ending that fans have been wanting. Night of the Comet didn’t quite live up to the hype after I viewed it, did Night of the Creeps?

Back in high school and college DVD was a brand new format that let me discover all kinds of movies I missed out on as a kid. I would frequent many forums and one of the top movies that always showed up on people’s most wanted lists was Night of the Comet. It finally came to DVD and I finally got to see what all the fuss was about…
If you are a fan of Family Guy you may remember the first episode when it came back from cancellation (North by North Quahog). In the beginning of this episode Peter lists off a long list of shows that “Well I suppose if all those shows go down the tubes we have a shot.” Wonderfalls is one of those shows mentioned, but unlike a lot of the others, it should not have been. The show has been out on DVD for a few years now, but I just recently sat down and watched it all and I enjoyed it very much. The show was canceled before all episodes were aired, but the DVD set contains all 13 episodes.

The latest from director Bryan Singer (and the 3rd to my count that deals at least partially with Nazis) is Valkyrie which recently came out on DVD and Blu-Ray. Away on my vacation we were looking to rent a movie and this was one that everyone was looking forward to seeing. This review is based on the DVD since that is all we had access to while away, unfortunately I cannot comment on the qualities of the Blu-Ray version. In the end, I was the only one who really enjoyed it, with my fiancee being the 2nd best of it being “OK.” This is not for everyone, especially for those looking for an action movie.
