Upcoming Releases (finally) Updated

The Upcoming Releases have been updated, although it is a rather slim week this week.  I will personally be picking up Mario Sports Mix and You Don’t Know Jack, but this week also sees the release of Dungeons on PC as well as Test Drive Unlimited 2 for multiple platforms, and Trinity: Souls Of Zill O’llwhich is an RPG from KOEI that I hadn’t heard of until last week and still know nothing about.  Remember if you check the release list and order anything it helps fund the site.  What will you be picking up this week (if anything)?

New Batch of eBay Auctions Posted

logoEbay_x45It is once again time for some eBay auctions.  I picked up a bunch of games on Black Friday that I will never get to and so I’m just selling them off.  I also have some games of mine like Alan Wake and Metroid Other M that I reviewed.  If you would like to check them out, please click here.  My personal collection will be posted soon (the same stuff from the list).

GOG.com is Not Dead

Much like this site here, fear not for GOG.com is not dead and will continue with a new look and features starting tomorrow. If you head to their site now you can watch a series of videos that explain the new aspects a bit as we’ll as the guys that run it asking for forgiveness as they apologize for misleading anyone. There has been some understandable backlash, but let’s wait and see what they have in store for us then. Two words: Baldur’s Gate.

Lead and Gold Free to Play on Steam This Weekend

I know I haven’t posted a review yet so normally I don’t post stuff like this, but it’s a good deal so I had to.  Lead and Gold is free to play all this weekend on Steam and there’s even a discount to purchase the game if you like it.  I got it at release and haven’t spent as much time with it as I’d like so this weekend will be a perfect opportunity.  So far I’ve had a lot of fun with it, so you all should check it out.  Post your thoughts below.

Alien Swarm Released on Steam [UPDATED]

For those of you that have not been following me on Twitter, you may have missed the fact that Alien Swarm has been released on Steam.  Why am I mentioning this?  Because it is FREE.  That’s right a free 3rd person shooter with 4 player co-op is available now for free as well as the code base (the Source SDK which has been recently updated).  Download it now and look for me if you want someone to play with.  FYI: Game supports achievements and Steam Cloud as well.

[UPDATE 7-20-2010 @ 12:16 AM] Game is SUPER fun with a lot of different possibilities.  Reminds me a lot of Killing Floor but with aliens and as a twin stick shooter (although with mouse/keyboard obviously).  Will post more impressions and a review soon.

New Releases for the Week of March 15th, 2010

If you click on Upcoming Releases you will see I have updated it to include this week.  It is a huge week this week with releases such as the Dragon Age: Origins expansion, Resonance of Fate, Fragile Dreams on Wii, and arguably the biggest release this week: God of War 3 on PS3.  I am running a bit behind in my games so I may not play any soon but I am looking forward to all of those.  Time to get back to playing so I can catch up.

Updated Review: Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS3, Xbox 360, PC)

Batman Arkham Asylum cover I have updated my review for Batman Arkham Asylum to reflect a few things that have changed since I originally posted the review.  This includes the fact that there was free DLC released and the PC version has come out and what makes it different (mostly PhysX support).  Click here to read the review.

Indie Games Wednesday – PC Review: Nation Red

Nation Red Cover In a time when games (especially by indie developers) are made to be twin stick shooters or have zombies in them, sometimes they are are both and Nation Red is one of those times.  I love zombies and I love twin stick shooters, did I love Nation Red?
