Hang 'Em High Ever felt the need to play Hangman, but didn’t like all the money involved with playing Wheel of Fortune?  Hang ‘em High A Hangman Game is just for you!  Let’s be honest here, there is much to hangman and therefore there isn’t much to this game.  I took the time to play though so if you want to read on to how this game works, and why it has a violence rating of 1/3, read on.

This is a rather no-frills version of hangman.  You start the game and pick which difficulty you would like to play.  There are 3 different difficulties YellaBelly (easy), Cowboy (Medium) and Sheriff (Hard).  The game gives a category and you have to guess before you have enough parts to make a complete person.  If you guess correctly then a cowboy comes out and shoots the man down.  Move onto next puzzle.  One thing I find curious is why doesn’t this game support the Messenger Pad?  It would be a perfect fit and certainly would make things less tedious.  As the game stands now (I doubt there will be an update) you have to use the d-pad to move around the alphabet and pick the letters which takes sometime.  There isn’t much here so there isn’t much I can say.

The graphics are understandably minimal, and what is there isn’t very detailed.  This is definitely something that would not take long to make graphically and therefore is not “pretty” to look at.  Just one more strike as to how barebones this game is.

2/5 Stars – There is not much here to play.  You play hangman at various difficulty levels against the computer.  Nothing more.  If that is what you are looking for then this is for you, and will only set you back 80 MS points ($1).  For everyone else, there’s always Wheel of Fortune.
