PS3 Firmware 3.15 Out Now with Support for PSP Minis

ps3_logo For those that haven’t heard or noticed yet, the PS3 has a firmware upgrade available with the major feature being that you can play PSP Minis on your PS3.  This sounds like Sony is on its way to making a reality what I wrote about in an Editorial I wrote back in September suggesting Sony update the PS3 to play PSP games.  It appears though that right now there are only a handful of games that will actually work with Sony saying that in a couple weeks they will all work.  Maybe this will be a test to see how things run and see the demand for more to work.  The Minis are not allowed to have network play, so that’s one less thing for them to worry about emulating so I can see why this is a good place to start.  Once a game I actually owns works I will post my impressions.

Indie Games Wednesday News: Weapon of Choice (XBLI) Update

I know, it’s not a review for Indie Games Wednesday, but i wanted to post something as promised.  Weapon of Choice has been recently updated on Xbox Live Indie Games.  The next time you load the game up it will prompt you to update it which requires a redownload of the game.  Once this is done you will notice that there are quite a few more difficulty levels now for those looking for a challenge, or those that want to play through multiple times at different levels.  In terms of what else the update does – I am still not sure as I did not notice anything different so far.  Will update further as I find out.
