It’s a rainy Thursday night, your Xbox is overheating and the pizza delivery guy just arrived with pepperoni, hamburger, and bacon pizza (mmmmm… bacon). What do you do while you eat? Why, pop in Slaughter High on DVD, of course. What, that wasn’t your first choice? Yeah, I guess I can’t blame you. This is the situation I found myself in today though, my friends wanted to watch a horror movie and there it was sitting in my collection still yet to be opened. Why was it there? Simple, it was $5 and I remember the cover being in every horror section of every video store in the 80s and 90s. It was released by Lionsgate as part of their new “Lost Collection” line of movies. None of us had seen it, so we figured what the hell, it should be good for a laugh. I really can’t explain any better than that as to why were were watching, but in the end, I’m glad we did. Was it a good movie? No, but we DID laugh.

I’m Back…
Oct 29
Those of you may have seen my Guitar Hero: Van Halen review and were shocked to see an update. I was busy with school and got a new job, but I’ve been playing a lot of games in the meantime and have a ton of updates coming up soon. From now on I will have a regular schedule and some new ideas I have for the site. I have had Forgotten Friday for a while now and periodically have done an Indie Game spotlight. Well now Fridays will be the forgotten games and movies, Wednesdays will be Indie Game Wednesdays, and Thursday will be Retro Thursdays where I will review some old school games I have been playing. Also keep an eye out for “First Impressions” and similar aspects since I have been playing a lot of epic (re: LONG) games that would take forever to finish and review, so I can at least get an impression out there and I will update the review as need be.
“Guest Demo Impressions?” you’re asking yourself…. Well the last batch of demo impressions were popular with readers so I wanted to keep up. While not as popular here in the States, soccer does have its yearly games and the fans are diehards. I am not one of them, I know little about the sport and/or video games, but my friend Dave is. To help me out he decided to write up some impressions on the two different soccer games of the year, FIFA 2010 from EA Sports and Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 from Konami. A big thanks to him for his help. His write up follows after the break.
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the price of Weapon of Choice, one of the Xbox Live Indie Games, has dropped to $3. I felt that at $5 the game was well worth it, so now it’s an even better deal and everyone should check it out. Click here for my review of the game.
Today’s review is for an underrated movie by the name of So I Married an Axe Murderer. The movie was a disappointment to many, but slowly gained a following years after its release thanks to Mike Myers’ popularity surging after the Austin Powers movies. It is available on NetFlix Instant, DVD, and Blu-Ray, so no reason not to check it out now.
Wii Review: No More Heroes

Back in August I did a review for Yakuza on the PS2. Today I am reviewing another game that is very “Japanese” in style (but in a different way) and also did not do very well. Unlike Yakuza, the sequelhas yet to come out, so there is still time for it to do well. Read on to find out why you should care.
As you may have noticed Amazon is now offering PSN download codes. 1st party Sony titles are now available including PSN Games, PS3 Game Add-Ons, PS1 Classic downloads, and PSP games. Some may see this as pointless since you can just purchase through your PS3 or PSP, but this way now you can use Amazon gift certificates to redeem them and earn rewards if you have an Amazon credit card. As I mentioned, right now it’s just Sony and it’s not complete, but there are still some great games like Fat Princess, Super Stardust HD, and PAIN.
Yes, you read the title right, the 18 Year Old Virgin. I have not started to review porn but Asylum Pictures known for their “mockbuster” movies such as The Day The Earth Stopped, Snakes on a Train, and Transmorphers decided to try their hand at the raunchy teen comedy. Unlike the other movies mentioned that rely on special effects and action, a teen comedy can be made on a very small budget, so this actually works. American Pie this is not, but more like its straight-to-DVD sequels. Good for a few laughs, but nothing to rave about.
